Description
The Manufacturing Technician I will support day-to-day production of electronic displays and controllers by performing a variety of tasks including equipment operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation. This is an entry-level, hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Looking for highly motivated people who love to learn.
This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
Shift:This is a first shift position. The work schedule is Monday-Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm.
Key Job Responsibilities Perform work in accordance with standard procedures, specifications, and test instructions. Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, software solutions, mechanical and electrical engineering to support day-to-day production and root cause activities. Serve as the "First Line of Defense" for production by troubleshooting production issues with an extreme sense of urgency, escalating issues as needed. Self-check work after completion using precision measuring instruments to ensure it is complete per drawing/work instructions. Conduct root cause analysis of defective electronics, electrical, and mechanical systems and support corrective actions activities to address those quality issues. Provide maintenance support to assigned production lines by maintaining equipment and machinery and perform preventive maintenance as required. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and policies. Qualifications
Education
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED). Experience and Skills
Comfortable with the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Able to triage electronics that may have an electrical or mechanical issue. The willingness and ability to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 2 years of manufacturing, assembly, or repair experienceor technical training (preferred). Experience interpreting technical documents, electronic schematics, engineering drawings, and wiring lists (preferred). Strong soldering and/or wiring skills (preferred).
