POSITION SUMMARY

The Cost Accounting Manager plays a strategic leadership role in advancing ReadyOne Industries' mission to support our U.S. Warfighters and the AbilityOne program while creating employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This position oversees the cost accounting function, ensuring accuracy in costing, inventory management, and financial compliance. By supervising the Cost Accountant and related staff, the Cost Accounting Manager ensures that operational execution aligns with ReadyOne's strategic objectives, driving efficiency, financial integrity, and mission impact. The ideal candidate will be a strong, innovative leader capable of integrating cost accounting insights into decision-making that strengthens both financial performance and community impact.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to the Cost Accountant and cost accounting staff, fostering accountability, development, and alignment with ReadyOne's mission. Oversee standard costing, bill of materials accuracy, and annual cost roll processes to ensure reliable data that supports operational and strategic planning. Partner with supply chain, production, and operations to ensure accurate reporting of material and labor costs while promoting efficiency and cost savings. Drive continuous improvement in the ERP system and related cost accounting processes to enhance reporting accuracy, transparency, and operational effectiveness. Oversee cycle counts and inventory reconciliations, ensuring accurate valuation of inventory that supports both financial reporting and operational readiness. Monitor production job closings and variance analysis, ensuring timely identification of issues, root causes, and solutions. Deliver actionable cost and variance reports to senior leadership, highlighting financial risks, opportunities, and alignment with strategic goals. Prepare and oversee inventory reserve analyses, ensuring compliance with GAAP while safeguarding ReadyOne's financial resources. Lead the cost accounting role in month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely and accurate results for management and external audit purposes. Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and leadership on product pricing, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and sustainability. Establish and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures to preserve the integrity of ReadyOne's financial records. Support innovation and operational excellence by championing process improvements and leveraging technology (including automation and AI) to strengthen ReadyOne's long-term capabilities. Perform other duties as needed to advance ReadyOne's strategic mission.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's, CPA or CMA preferred). Experience:

7+ years of progressive cost accounting experience in manufacturing. Supervisory or management experience required. ERP experience with emphasis on cost and inventory modules. Specific Skills:

Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data modeling). Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills. Proven ability to influence cross-departmental collaboration. Strategic mindset with operational execution skills. Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:

Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory, and cost accounting. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to interpret and present complex data clearly to senior leadership. Commitment to ReadyOne's mission of service and community impact. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office setting with occasional visits to the warehouse for inventory-related tasks.
