Chart's Maintenance Technician position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart's products. Chart's McCarran, NV location is currently seeking candidates interested in a Maintenance Technician position. This position will be responsible for completing maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance.

What Will You Do?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on all plant equipment

Performs troubleshooting, problem solving, and countermeasure activities on all production and facility equipment

Performs mechanical maintenance with frequent electrical (480V, 208V, 120V, 24VDC) and controls-related troubleshooting

Dismantles machines or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects and repairs or replaces

Completes daily maintenance paperwork for assigned Work Requests and Checklists

Assists with installing conduit and wiring for new equipment installations

Performs special duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager

REQUIREMENTS - MUST BE ABLE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

Thorough understanding of maintenance troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic manufacturing equipment

Working knowledge of 480 Volt 3 phase power, logic controllers, motor starters and variable frequency drives

Ability to read and follow written instructions

Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings and specifications

Open scheduling availability

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require...

Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling

Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material

Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions

Wearing all task required PPE.

Working in amanufacturing environment that may involve at times loud noise, strong odors,heat, abrasives, and outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain and wind.

Your Experience Should Be...

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Trade or Technical school a plus

Minimum Experience:

5+ years of electrical maintenance experience

2+ years of experience with Preventative Maintenance

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment desirable

Experience with troubleshooting PLC based control systems desired

Strong background in electrical troubleshooting highly recommended

Skills Required: (i.e. certifications, licenses, registrations, etc.):

Welding and fabrication skills considered a plus
