Job Description
Structural Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for ongoing and future C-130 aircraft structural systems.
Must be knowledgeable in the Mechanical Engineering principles. Must have experience in performing structural analysis, and have an understanding of aircraft structural properties, in new or modified aircraft, including navigation, cargo, and engine system design requirements. Must have experience in the development of technical reports, and the ability to develop comprehensive and accurate technical data documents. Must be able to interpret input for Air Force Technical Data Packages, Technical Orders and aircraft mechanical modification drawings and designs from various OEMs and in various formats.
Position responsibilities also include the following:
Systems Engineering Process Management Innovative Concept/Application Development Non Recurring Engineering Lead Requirements Definition Test and Evaluation Lead Trial Kit and Prototype Installation Lead FCA/PCA Technical Data Package Compliance & Delivery CSI Management Risk Assessments and Mitigation Compliance with LCSE and OSS&E AFI's supplements, and related documents Deficiency Reports (DRs) Joint Deficiency Reports System (JDRS) Management TO Validation/Verification &TCTO Compliance TO Request Change (RC) Response Hangar Discrepancy Auto 202 and TO 00-25-107 Response Airworthiness Process, Compliance and Certification Aerospace/Mechanical Theory, Maintenance Practices, Modification, and Operations Engineering IT Tools and Databases/System Job Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree and/ or Masters in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. 1-3 years of directly related Mechanical Engineering experience. Must have C-130 experience
