Position Summary: The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and community-minded individual to lead the team's fan engagement and outreach initiatives. As the

Director of Fan Experience & Community Outreach , you will be the driving force behind creating unforgettable in-game experiences and building meaningful connections with fans and the greater Wisconsin Rapids community. You will help ensure that every Rafters home game is entertaining, immersive, and memorable - from pregame to the final out.

Key Responsibilities:

In-Game Experience & Entertainment Plan and oversee all on-field promotions, theme nights, and between-inning entertainment. Interact with the crowd during games to create an engaging and fun atmosphere. Coordinate with the coaching staff to schedule player interactions (e.g., pregame greetings, postgame autographs). Hire, train, and supervise on-field promotions and marketing interns. Pre-Game Activities & Themed Events

Organize extensive pregame entertainment for a minimum of 6 home games, which may include concerts, marching bands, choir performances, Pom Pom squads, jugglers, and more. Collaborate with full-time staff to create and implement immersive, themed experiences that enhance fan engagement. Fan Feedback & Satisfaction

Engage with fans during and after games to gather feedback on their experience. Conduct post-game surveys using the Net Promoter Score (NPS) system to assess the fan experience. Collaborate with the Director of Ticket Sales to follow up with fans who give an NPS score of 6 or below to resolve concerns and improve retention. Celebrate positive feedback by collaborating with the Director of Creative Services to share fan testimonials and comments online. Community Outreach

Serve as a team ambassador, greeting fans at entry and thanking them as they exit the ballpark. Lead the Rafters' community outreach efforts, including organizing school reading programs and appearances in the community. Coordinate and execute non-league events (e.g., special community events, appearances) in collaboration with full-time staff. Collaboration & Promotion Development

Work with the full-time Rafters staff to develop and implement promotional plans for all home games. Collaborate with the Director of Ticket Sales and other team members to boost fan engagement and sales through outstanding experiences and promotions. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. Prior experience in fan engagement, promotions, or live entertainment (sports or event-based industry a plus). High-energy personality with a passion for delivering WOW-worthy fan experiences. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable engaging with large crowds. Creative thinker with excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season. Experience managing and leading staff or interns is a plus.
