Position Summary
Hammes Partners is a private investment platform focused exclusively on the U.S. healthcare real estate market, including investments in existing assets, entitled development projects and adaptive reuse opportunities. Hammes Partners is complemented by the suite of services offered by its affiliates, including Hammes Healthcare, a nationally recognized healthcare industry leader.
The Private Equity Analyst Intern is responsible for creating and performing real estate financial and market analysis for the Company's real estate acquisition, development and investment activities. This position will create pro formas, collect and analyze due diligence information, market analysis, draft investment update reports, and other related duties. The analyst will have the opportunity to analyze healthcare assets in markets across the nation and will work with senior management and a variety of teams, including investments and capital markets, asset management, and investor relations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Project Underwriting
Performs budget, economic, and proforma return underwriting Performs credit analysis on existing and potential tenants Assists with scenario and sensitivity analysis of development projects
Capitalization Duties
Assists in creating financing packages in order to procure financing on ownership portfolio Reviews project team feasibility reports and prepares capital markets section Assists with required due diligence steps necessary to close financing
Assists with RFP responses and marketing presentations Assists with and prepares Investment Committee reports, including the following:
Projects under development Proposed deals - Investment Package
Researches specific real estate markets to assess market demand, potential for demand and rental rate growth, competitiveness of comparable properties, and risk potential Reviews and assists with loan agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and ancillary documents related to the closing of a transaction Assists with quarterly and annual valuation and reporting processes Completion of special projects as needed Other duties as assigned by the Firm's professionals Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Sophomore or junior status pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Real Estate or related field Ability to analyze and interpret information with strong research capabilities Strong personal motivation and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload Ability to work independently Advanced knowledge of Argus Enterprise and Microsoft Office including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
