About the Position
Louisiana Women's Healthcare (LWH) is seeking a mission-driven, fellowship-trained Breast Radiologist to join our team. This part-time, on-site position focuses exclusively on breast imaging and interpretation, supporting our commitment to early detection, timely diagnosis, and compassionate care for the women we serve.
The Interpreting Physician will evaluate mammograms (including 3D tomosynthesis) and breast ultrasounds to detect subtle changes and abnormalities, including early signs of breast cancer. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our physicians and clinical teams to ensure timely communication of results and individualized patient care.

Primary Responsibilities
Interpret and diagnose screening and diagnostic mammography (2D/3D) and breast ultrasound using BI-RADS classification. Effectively communicate imaging results and next-step recommendations to referring physicians and patients. Oversee the performance and quality of mammography technologists and ensure compliance with ACR and MQSA standards. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation. Stay current with advancements in breast imaging, emerging technologies, and evidence-based practices through continuing medical education. Qualifications
Board-certified in Radiology (American Board of Radiology). Fellowship training in Breast Imaging, preferred. Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Louisiana. Proficient in interpreting digital mammography, 3D tomosynthesis, and breast ultrasound. Strong knowledge of MQSA regulations, HIPAA compliance, and radiology reporting standards. Key Competencies
Mastery in identifying subtle and complex breast imaging findings. Comprehensive understanding of breast anatomy, pathology, and risk assessment. Clear and compassionate communicator with patients and physicians. Skilled in explaining diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up recommendations in a patient-centered way. A team-oriented mindset with the ability to foster respectful, productive relationships across departments. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting. Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices. Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and interpret images for prolonged periods. Capable of occasional walking, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs. Position Type
