Job Title: Network CCI Engineer / Network CCI
Location : Virginia east cost (Remote)
Objective: To design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot network architectures and services under the CCI domain. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the network while aligning with business needs. Key Responsibilities: • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, SD WAN, etc.) under the CCI scope. • Monitor network performance, traffic, bandwidth usage, latency, packet loss, etc., and address degradations proactively. • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, NOC escalations, etc. • Perform network capacity planning, scaling, and optimization. • Implement redundancy, failover, and high-availability architectures to minimize downtime. • Enforce network security policies: access control, segmentation, firewall rules, intrusion detection, etc. • Work with vendors / carriers / third parties for provisioning, interconnects, SLAs, and escalations. • Maintain network documentation: topology diagrams, configurations, change logs, SOPs. • Coordinate network upgrades, migrations, patches, and change management processes. • Assist in incidents and root-cause analysis; provide after-action reports. • Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams on infrastructure initiatives. • Stay updated on emerging network technologies and propose improvements. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or equivalent. • 3-7 years of experience in network engineering/operations (depending on level). • Solid knowledge of routing & switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, etc.). • Experience in firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, load balancers, and network security. • Hands-on with Cisco / Juniper / Arista / Fortinet or equivalent networking gear. • Strong troubleshooting skills (packet-level, logs, trace, etc.). • Good understanding of QoS, VLANs, multicast, NAT, etc. • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (like Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.). • Excellent communication, teamwork, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred / Additional: • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent vendor. • Experience in large scale enterprise / service provider networks. • Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid connectivity. • Familiarity with automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform) in network tasks. • Prior experience with carrier interconnects, peering, transit, etc. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • Network uptime / availability (%) • Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) for network incidents • Number of recurring network faults • Throughput / capacity utilization • SLA compliance with internal / external customers • Successful execution of planned network changes/upgrades Working Conditions: • 24×7 support with shift rotations, on-call duty as required • Occasional travel to data centers, remote sites, or client locations • Work under pressure during major outages
