Job Summary
We are seeking
2nd Shift MIG Welders (Mon-Thursday, 4PM- 2:30AM)
to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position requires proficiency in MIG welding techniques and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including construction sites. Duties Operate MIG welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine project requirements. Perform soldering and machining tasks as needed to complete projects. Utilize plasma cutting tools for precise cuts on metal materials. of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Welding I-Beam Frame and Fuel Tanks in flat/vertical overhead positions. The sheet metal thickness will range from 10 gauge up to inch. Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding Position and secure work pieces, using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
Requirements: Must be able to read measuring devices, such as tape measure Must be able to read blueprints - this is extremely important GMAW (MIG/MAG) experience preferred Able to troubleshoot and problem solve Must be highly motivated Able to communicate and work well with others Pay attention to details and have a strong drive to succeed Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Use power tools and equipment, including micrometers and forklifts, for various tasks on the job site. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Skills Proficient in MIG welding techniques with a strong understanding of welding processes. Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a construction site environment. Knowledge of safety practices related to welding and construction activities.
