Work hours are subject to change & will be determined by workload and shift coverage needs. Typically, Day Shift will start at 5:00AM or 7am and end at 3:30PM; Typically, Night Shift will start at 3:30PM and will end at 12am or 2am.

Sulzer Turbo Services (STS) is an independent provider of services and repairs of critical turbomachinery. We specialize in the repair, overhaul, and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines, compressors, expanders, and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Petrochemical, Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Fertilizer and Power Generation markets.

A Machinist is aprofessional that uses different techniques to create and make very precise metal parts. A machinist should be able tooperate and maintain industrial machines, produce precision tools, interpret technical drawings and instructions, and ensure safety and quality standards. A machinist also needs to have manual dexterity, and eye for detail, knowledge of mathematics and mechanics, and respect for safety precautions.
Responsibilities: Work closely and clearly communicate with the other departments, Machine personnel, Supervisor, and Lead Man Capable of setting up & operating all machines in the shop (including large mills, lathes, tool post grinders, and other equipment) Operate manual and automatic feeds to 0.0002" as required for final cuts Complete assigned jobs start to finish with little or no supervision. This includes the ability to perform the following: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches that may require intermediate math and problems solving skills to calculate dimensions not specified on print. Have and maintain ability to use and operate the overhead cranes, torches, grinders and forklifts Maintain LEAN objectives within the department Qualifications:
