Strategic Sourcing Specialist

to work in the

Columbus, Ohio

Position Summary We are looking for a sourcing professional with

RFP sourcing experience , strong negotiation skills, and the ability to

redline and manage contracts . This role will focus on

technology-based software and hardware solutions

and requires the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple business stakeholders. As the

Strategic Sourcing Specialist , you'll serve as a subject matter expert in developing sourcing strategies for labor, services, materials, and technology equipment that support IT business operations. You'll lead sourcing events, negotiate complex contracts, and ensure supplier performance aligns with company goals and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead sourcing and procurement activities for technology software, hardware, and related services. Assess business needs and align sourcing plans to meet requirements. Develop and execute sourcing strategies, leveraging market, supplier, and spend analyses. Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams during sourcing events. Prepare and manage RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Develop negotiation strategies and lead contract negotiations, including redlining and finalizing terms. Draft and manage contracts with a focus on pricing, performance, and risk mitigation. Maintain strong relationships with business partners and suppliers to support category and sourcing strategies. Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and overall value delivery. Collaborate with the Service Center to align transactional and support activities with sourcing objectives.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience:

Minimum of

5 years of relevant experience , including work with cross-functional teams. Proven

RFP sourcing experience

and ability to

redline, negotiate, and finalize contracts . Experience with

technology or utility industry sourcing

is preferred. Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to facilitate sourcing events and negotiations. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in supplier relationship management and contract compliance.
