A Day In The Life In this role, you will support various aspects of sourcing and procurement within the IT sector. Under the guidance of the Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, your key responsibilities will include: Procurement:
Ensuring purchase orders align with IT budgets while reconciling ERP and procurement system variances. Generating, monitoring, and reconciling purchase orders, SOWs, Order Forms, and Master Agreements. Managing a multi-year agreement renewal list. Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on procurement needs. Building strong relationships with Accounts Payable and other departments to enhance supplier payments and resolve issues.
Contracting:
Utilizing technology-specific contract templates to negotiate IT terms, working closely with IT Security, Legal, and Business teams. Collaborating with various departments to protect the organization's interests in terms and conditions. Overseeing contract negotiations and administration. Facilitating successful contract execution and supplier transitions. Managing supplier performance and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
Sourcing Strategy:
Working with internal teams to assess business needs and requirements. Conducting spend analysis and developing business cases. Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and mitigating risk. Providing insights and recommendations based on industry trends. Ensuring effective communication with internal teams and monitoring supplier performance.
What We Need From You To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. 4-6 years of relevant experience in procurement or a related field. Strong understanding of IT sourcing best practices, enterprise software licensing, and IT services. Experience in sourcing IT hardware, software, and services in a corporate environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete projects with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Ariba. Excellent analytical skills to understand data trends and make informed recommendations. Strong time management and project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. A valid driver's license as required. Preferred certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)-APICS. Physical and Environmental Requirements The physical demands for this role include the ability to analyze and interpret data, communicate effectively, and remain stationary for extended periods. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. Travel Requirements The position may involve minimal travel (up to 20%), primarily within the domestic region. The primary working location is the Friedkin Corporate Campus (FCC), with possible travel to the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) and Parts Distribution Center (PDC) as necessary.
