Plant Controller
Type:
Direct hire - 4 days in office, 1 day remote once trained

Seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Plant Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and translate complex financial data into clear insights for stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a manufacturing environment and brings strong analytical rigor and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities Manage full accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Lead month-end close, record journal entries, and produce accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Oversee cash management, payables, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize cash flow and vendor relationships. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and technical accounting tasks. Prepare supporting documentation for tax returns and collaborate with external CPA audit teams. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Direct cost accounting procedures, consolidation, and related statistical reporting. Monitor inventory levels, manage cycle counting, and assess obsolete inventory. Build and maintain relationships with banks and lenders. Review and validate commission reports and rep payments. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or equivalent preferred. 3-5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience. Strong knowledge of cash management, budgeting, and financial controls. Advanced account reconciliation and financial analysis skills. Proficient with ERP and financial systems; experience with Made to Manage and Odoo is a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and sound understanding of database concepts. Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Continuous improvement mindset and openness to learning. Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity, discretion, and professionalism. Resilient under pressure and capable of resolving complex challenges professionally.
