The
Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I)
serves as the face of the organization, providing high-quality service and care to patients during the specimen collection process. This role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate experience for all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with accuracy and professionalism, including pediatric and geriatric patients. Prepare and process specimens for lab testing following established protocols and safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation and patient records while ensuring confidentiality. Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and reassuring environment for patients. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures. Support daily operations under the direction of the area supervisor, including maintaining a clean and organized work area. Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Required) Preferred Training:
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training Certification:
Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA) Experience:
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required) 1+ year preferred Customer service experience in healthcare or retail settings preferred Proficiency in data entry and use of electronic systems
Additional Details:
Candidates must reside within a
20-25 minute commute
of the job site. Reliable personal transportation is
required
(rideshare/bus not accepted). Punctuality and full-shift availability are critical; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may result in termination. Resume must include
