$40 - $55 per hour based on experience (3-5 years preferred) Must utilize personal equipment for this role. Top Requirements: Experience in HR-related investigations Skills in employee relations, including conflict resolution and manager guidance Understanding of employment law Job Overview: In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources Employee Relations, the Employee Relations Specialist will provide expert guidance to managers and HR Business Partners regarding various employee relations situations and the interpretation of policies and laws. This role involves comprehensive internal employee consultation across Brigham & Women's Hospital (BWH), as well as conducting investigations, preparing reports, and presenting findings and recommendations. Key Responsibilities: Advise HRBPs, Managers, and Executives on employee relations matters such as workplace violence, discrimination, and harassment. Conduct thorough and confidential investigations, prepare reports, and present findings to relevant audiences. Develop and assess employee relations trends in partnership with senior leadership. Work with various HR teams to address root causes of employee issues and enhance effective management practices. Utilize data analytics to support diversity and inclusion efforts and improve workplace culture. Collaborate with the Employee Relations/Labor Relations team and Office of General Counsel on complaints filed with relevant agencies. Assist managers in processing problem resolution cases and gather essential documentation. Create and present workshops on key employee relations topics for management and HR professionals. Conduct climate surveys to identify employee concerns and collaborate with teams to develop action plans. Manage requests for reasonable accommodations in partnership with Occupational Health and HRBPs. Stay updated on employment and labor laws to effectively guide organizational practices. Support the development and interpretation of employee relations policies and procedures. Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues at all levels. May assist in HRBP responsibilities, including data analytics, policy interpretation, and training development. Use independent judgment to escalate issues to senior leadership when necessary. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with 2-3 years in an Employee Relations or HR Business Partner role, or a similar background to qualify for a more senior position. Case management system experience is preferred.
