Company Description GSW Construction Inc. is a licensed heavy civil contractor serving public and private utility agencies, as well as general contractors throughout the Bay Area. Founded in March 2021 by experienced professionals with over 40 years of collective experience, GSW Construction specializes in a variety of projects, including mass excavations and aviation fuel line installation. We are certified as a California Small Business and a San Francisco Micro LBE. Role Description We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support our Project Managers and team in the field. This role is critical to the success of our upcoming projects in the Bay Area and surrounding regions. Responsibilities include estimating, procurement, report preparation, subcontracts, submittals, and overall project support. Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential. Qualifications Knowledge and skills in Project Management, Project Engineering, and Project Planning Strong communication abilities Background in Electrical Engineering Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Capability to work independently and effectively on-site Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Experience in heavy civil construction is advantageous Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create daily game plans outlining tasks, quantities, and reviews of previous work Manage material orders and equipment/crew tracking Arrange layout lines and grades for upcoming work Process extra work tags and reconcile invoices and timecards Conduct tailgate meetings and attend weekly job meetings Provide project updates to the Project Manager and team, discussing job highs and lows Facilitate requests for information (RFI), subcontractors (SUB), and change order requests (COR) Communicate about high-risk tasks and discuss production goals Support financial tracking, updating project statuses and the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule Track performance against key objectives Maintain knowledge of construction procedures, systems, and tools in heavy civil construction Identify safety improvements and communicate hazardous conditions proactively Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Industry Expertise: 1-5 years of experience in the construction industry along with comparable technical training. Specific Job Requirements: Pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background check Possess a valid Driver's License Stay current on all required safety training Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage conflicts of interest Understand blueprints and drafting processes Proficiency in construction management software, including Foundations and Bluebeam Understand construction equipment, materials, and techniques Job Type:

Full-time Benefits:

Competitive salary, health and dental insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and travel flexibility required. The salary range for this position is $100,000-$140,000.
