BankFund Credit Union is a full-service financial cooperative that was organized and chartered in 1947 as a convenient place for employees of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund and their families to save and to obtain credit. Located in Washington, DC, BankFund maintains three full-service branches downtown with our headquarters located near Farragut West metro station. This position is classified as a full-time on-site role which means that on-site work will be expected for each scheduled workday.
Summary:
Assist the Branch Manager in the operational, administrative and sales efforts ensuring that the branch objectives are achieved. In the absence of the branch manager, accountable for the daily branch operational functions ensuring that all staff adhere to established credit union policies and procedures.
Responsibilities: Works with the Branch Manager to ensure that the branch objectives and sales goals are achieved. Guide branch staff in delivering service that makes an IMPACT in every interaction. Developing and implementing strategies, including needs-based selling, outbound relationship calling, and sales lead generation to contribute to membership growth and share of wallet. Monitors branch performance, tracking and interpreting service and sales results Ensure appropriate cash, cashier's check and temporary check levels are maintained in the branch; ensuring sufficient supplies to meet daily needs and seasonal demands without exceeding vault limits. Participate in the interviewing and selection of branch staff, make recommendations for appointments, performance management, promotion and transfers of staff. Responsible for managing all operational functions and directly supervise the Account Services Representatives. Ensure Teller Cash Recycler cash levels are maintained , balanced, audited and cleaned, as required. Assist the Branch Manager with the opening and closing of the branch, ensuring that the branch is clean, orderly and prepared for our members each day. Assist with and contributes to regular branch meetings. In the absence of the Branch Manager, accountable for the daily branch operational functions ensuring that all staff adhere to established credit union policies and procedures. Provide support and coverage for all branch positions, including Account Services Representatives, and Member Service Representatives. Verify and sign share withdrawals, wire transfers and cashier's check, as required. Ensure that all end of day balancing functions are completed for all cashboxes and and balance the bank deposit daily. Open new accounts, as needed, ensuring accurate and complete processing; cross sell and give advice to members on the benefits of Credit Union products and services. Prepare and explain disclosure forms; assist members in completing account documentation. Keep up to date and train staff on changes to policies, procedures and regulations affecting the handling of transactions and services provided. Investigate and resolve all member account complaints/problems, when needed collaborate with other Credit Union departments to accomplish resolutions. Attend training and satisfactorily complete testing related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance and other regulations. Keep current on AML and BSA rules and alert Risk Management of suspicious activity. Assist the Branch Manager and Security Specialist with conducting alarm tests for the Branch on a monthly basis. Participate in annual Compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) training and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the BSA and OFAC, including the immediate reporting of unusual or suspicious activity to the Risk Management Department. Undertake additional training specific to daily responsibilities and as required to ensure continued compliance with all applicable regulations. Ensure the Credit Union's safe harbor protections as allowed by the BSA. Understand that if confronted with knowledge of existence of a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), an obligation exists to preserve the confidentiality of that SAR, as well as any information that may reveal the existence of a SAR. Maintain awareness of, and immediately report to the Compliance Officer, any unauthorized disclosure of a SAR, or unauthorized disclosure of information related to a SAR. Understand that failure to do so is a violation of federal law and may lead to both civil and criminal penalties for SAR disclosure violations. Successfully participate in annual Information Security refresher training. Comply with the Information Security Policy, including the immediate reporting of unusual or suspicious activity to management and the Information Security Officer. Follow all procedures to protect company computers from viruses, and to maintain the security and confidentiality of Credit Union data. Maintain a cash drawer and run a cash window during busy times, as needed. Maintains a professional, positive attitude at all times. Serves as a role model for employees. Demonstrate commitment to the Credit Union's IMPACT values. Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Branch Manager. Requirements

B.S. Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience:
Three to Four years banking experience Supervisory experience preferred.
For internal purposes, this position is graded as Exempt-11.
The anticipated annualized base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $110,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's job-related experience, skillset, training, certifications and market demands. The benefits available for this full-time position include but are not limited to: medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and paid time off, including paid parental leave benefits. In addition to base compensation salary, this role position is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
