Job Description Job Description FAIR Specialist (First Article Inspection Reports) Job Overview We are seeking a FAIR Specialist to ensure compliance with AS9102 standards for First Article Inspection Reports. This position involves detailed analysis of engineering documentation, materials, and components to confirm conformance with aerospace specifications and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Preparation and Review of FAIRs Develop, prepare, and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) per AS9102 guidelines. Review and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions for accuracy and completeness. Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to understand product specifications. Liaise with suppliers and vendors to gather required documentation and ensure compliance with quality agreements. Inspection and Testing Conduct detailed inspections, measurements, and testing of components as required by AS9102 . Document inspection results accurately and develop corrective action plans for any nonconformances. Compliance Monitoring Ensure adherence to company quality management systems and AS9102 regulations. Perform audits and reviews of FAIR processes and documentation as necessary. Continuous Improvement Participate in root-cause analysis and problem-solving for failed inspections or nonconformities. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Experience: Minimum of 5 years in aerospace quality assurance, specifically in First Article Inspection processes. Strong understanding of AS9102 and aerospace standards. Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus. Certifications: AS9102 Auditor Certification . Quality Management System Auditing Certification (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
