About the Role:

The Tax Strategy Director will spearhead the company's comprehensive tax strategy, ensuring robust planning, compliance, and reporting functions. This leadership role demands adherence to federal, state, local, and international tax regulations while overseeing and reviewing tax filings and financial statement disclosures. As a critical member of a publicly traded company, this position is essential in managing tax provision processes under ASC 740 and maintaining SOX compliance. The Tax Strategy Director will also be responsible for leading a team of tax professionals and engaging with third-party tax service providers. Company Overview:

Essential Functions: Oversee and lead all facets of the company’s tax functions, including compliance, provision, planning, audits, and reporting for both direct and indirect taxes in North America. Develop and mentor a high-performing tax team, enhancing technical expertise and fostering professional growth. Ensure accurate preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740, including effective tax rate analysis and SEC filing disclosures. Conduct high-level reviews of all significant tax filings to ensure comprehension of reporting issues and validate tax planning positions related to corporate transactions. Guarantee timely and accurate submission of all tax returns and payments across various jurisdictions. Stay informed on current and proposed tax legislation, assessing impacts on the company’s operations. Formulate and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities while optimizing the global tax structure. Evaluate and prioritize tax planning strategies considering business implications and efficiency benefits. Forecast income tax expenses and provide insights that support strategic decision-making. Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities while optimizing third-party tax providers’ performance. Lead the improvement of tax technology systems for enhanced automation and accuracy. Drive enhancements in tax operating models through process improvements and best practices. Support M&A and restructuring activities from a tax perspective, including due diligence and integration efforts. Facilitate tax planning discussions across various corporate transactions, ensuring effective communication with non-tax personnel. Maintain and enhance internal controls over tax reporting for SOX compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Finance, Accounting, and Legal to align strategies. Regular and predictable attendance is expected. Other duties as assigned. About You: Qualifications: At least 15 years of corporate tax experience in organizations of similar size. Strong background in U.S. corporate tax compliance and GAAP. Preferred experience in a related industry. Proven track record of managing a tax team within a publicly traded company. Experience in overseeing third-party tax service providers. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree in Taxation preferred. Professional certification such as CPA is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Expertise in corporate tax principles and applications. Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities. Strong critical thinking skills. History of driving process improvements through technology and data-driven decision-making. Experience with tax compliance software (e.g., Corptax). Capability to identify, risk assess, and mitigate tax-related risks systematically. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting. Adept at fostering collaboration and building trust across teams. In-depth knowledge of business operations and objectives. Proven project management skills. Ability to build morale and create ownership in a results-oriented environment. Effective mentoring and counseling skills. Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 5%). What We Offer: Compensation:

Salary between $175,000 and $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Paid weekly. Remote Work:
