12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Weekend Rotation:
Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)

Estimated Weekly Salary:
$2100-$2250
PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Wisconsin or Compact State RN license (Registered Nurse)
Current AHA BLS and AHA PALS certifications
Minimum 1 year of recent PICU nursing experience
Hands-on experience with tracheostomies and ventilators required
Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; BSN preferred
EPIC charting experience highly preferred
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
PICU Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality pediatric critical care to patients in the PICU
Manage patient ratios of 1:1–3, based on acuity
Float to all inpatient units, including critical care, NICU, and acute care
Operate specialized equipment: oscillators, ICP monitors, EVDs, CRRT
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a teaching hospital
Maintain professional appearance and adhere to infection control and safety standards
Support neurosurgical, general surgical, trauma, and medical/respiratory pediatric patients from neonate through young adult
