Key Responsibilities: Lead the operational effectiveness of the MSL team by aligning corporate objectives with tactical execution and fostering cross-functional medical support. Collaborate with various teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs, to contribute to strategic planning and execution. Develop and nurture individual talent within the MSL region through training, coaching, performance management, and career evaluation. Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and maintain adherence to Eisai’s policies and procedures. Oversee MSL activities, presenting essential medical and scientific information to healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and managed care organizations. Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new MSLs. Travel requirements include approximately 50% within the US and some international travel. Qualifications: Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in managing a Medical Science Liaison team or equivalent function. Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills. Strong personal integrity and commitment to customer-focused service. Able to maintain team morale and effectively interface with both field-based personnel and office-based Medical Affairs staff. Proficient understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, PhRMA, GCP, and other relevant international regulatory guidelines. Adept at organizing and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment. Comfortable using various technical platforms for tracking interactions and managing medical information. The base salary range for this role is $198,900 - $261,000. Eligible participants can join the Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan and Long Term Incentive Plan.
