Position Summary:
The
Industrial Maintenance Technician
is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires hands-on experience with
mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems
in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is a skilled multi-craft technician who can troubleshoot equipment issues, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement efforts across the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and support equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Diagnose and repair motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to perform maintenance and repairs.
Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
Monitor equipment performance, identify root causes of failure, and recommend process improvements.
Perform basic PLC troubleshooting and assist with control system maintenance.
Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS system.
Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout standards.
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
required;
technical certificate or associate degree
in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field .
3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
(multi-craft ).
Strong working knowledge of
mechanical systems, electrical circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics
.
Ability to read and interpret
electrical schematics
and
mechanical blueprints
.
Experience with
PLC troubleshooting
(Allen-Bradley or Siemens ).
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
Familiar with
welding, fabrication, and basic machining
a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Work in varying temperatures and around industrial equipment.
Must follow all PPE and safety protocols.
