REGIONAL CONSTRUCTION SAFETY MANAGER

THE POSITION:
STACK's Regional Construction Safety Manager is an Owner's Safety Representative providing safety leadership to multiple construction project teams and General Contractors. They work with multiple stakeholders to ensure STACK's high standards for workplace safety are achieved on all projects. Relationship building, mentorship and being a champion of best practices are primary responsibilities. They work with GC's to ensure consistent and effective implementation of safety processes for STACK construction projects. The Regional Manager attends to more complex projects, typically multi-site, with the potential for managing other site-level managers. The role ensures consistency across projects within the market. They support regional initiatives and the Director of Construction Safety for the larger STACK region.
The successful candidate will build strong relationships with STACK and GC site teams. They will ensure GC alignment with STACK expectations and culture. They monitor, track and analyze data related to their projects. They are responsible for maintaining performance metrics and dashboards. They may lead strategic departmental projects.
The role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to create trusting and respectful working relationships, the ability to build consensus and collaborate, strong project management skills, knowledge of regulations and best practices within construction safety.
Responsibilities will include: Support the EHS Team in implementing initiatives and metrics tracking systems. Ensure regional alignment and consistent implementation of initiatives. Be a subject matter expert in various areas of constructions safety such as ground disturbance, NFPA 70E, control of hazardous energy, mobile equipment, scaffolding, fall protection, etc. Serve as a strategic partner, ensuring that high-risk work (electrical safety, LOTO, confined space, work at heights, contractor safety) is consistent across sites. Track and analyze EHS leading/lagging indicators across the region, using data to drive action and improvement. Lead or participate in regional incident reviews, complex root cause analyses, and trend mitigation planning. Conduct or oversee site audits, formal observations, and regional benchmarking assessments. Support site-level compliance reviews, CAB/MOP safety integration, and commissioning transition support. Partner with Operations Safety and EHS peers to ensure smooth transitions from build to operating. THE DETAILS

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field. Experienced tradesperson with past safety responsibilities will also be considered. 5+ years' experience in EHS, loss control, or construction trades CSP or similar safety certification is a plus. Minimum 7-10 years of construction safety experience either with specialty trades, general contractors, or as owner's representatives. Proven experience managing or mentoring direct reports. Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926, incident investigation methodology, and risk mitigation strategies. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience using EHS software, dashboards, or observation tools to drive performance. Microsoft and 365 fluency is required. CHST, ASP, SMS, CSP or equivalent credential preferred. Experience in data center or large-scale mission critical construction
