Description Leidos is excited to invite skilled Manufacturing Technicians to join our dynamic team supporting the Cargo Mission Contract (CMC). This role is essential for the fabrication of flight-ready and mockup hardware across various innovative spaceflight programs and commercial projects. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will engage in hands-on manufacturing and technical operations, ensuring that all hardware meets stringent mission-critical requirements. Your focus on quality and precision is vital in our fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Key responsibilities include: Manufacturing:

Operate CNC machines and assemble protective foam structures to guarantee the secure transport of flight hardware. Prototyping and Fabrication:

Engage directly in prototyping, 3D printing, and creation of soft goods, as well as electronic and mechanical components. Technical Engineering Support:

Carry out technical tasks according to work documents while maintaining adherence to engineering and safety standards. Cable and Electronic Component Fabrication:

Fabricate cables and electronic components following NASA-recognized workmanship standards, including tasks like soldering and harness assembly. Flight Preparation:

Prepare hardware for flight processing, including the wrapping of cables with non-flammable materials. Equipment Maintenance:

Conduct maintenance on shop equipment and various electrical or mechanical components. Project Management:

Effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritizing to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, with at least 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, design, and fabrication. Proficient using both powered and unpowered tools for fabricating end items. Experienced in reading engineering drawings and work orders. Knowledgeable in the engineering drawing process and tool calibration. Familiar with basic mathematics and computer science principles. Preliminary experience operating CNC routers and additive manufacturing machines. Competent in computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. Preferred Qualifications: Background in mockup fabrication within the NASA community. Detail-oriented in cable and electronic fabrication utilizing NASA standards. Skilled in the population of printed wiring boards (PWB) using various soldering techniques. Expertise in electronics troubleshooting. Familiarity with fiber optics systems. Working knowledge of the Maximo Inventory Management System. Experience running and programming additive manufacturing systems. Proficiency in Creo and Simplify3D software for design applications. Experience working with foam or plastic materials. Security Clearance:

You must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance; therefore, U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent residency is a requirement. This position falls under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements. Leidos ensures adherence to all provisions.
