Job Title: CT Scan Technologist Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, 6 months Level 1 trauma experience required. First-timers accepted if they have relevant previous experience. License: Must have state license in hand at the time of start. Certifications: BLS ARRT RT (R) (CT) SCRQSA (R) (CT) Must-Have: Siemens experience. Level 1 trauma experience. Description: Agency must supply radiation badge. Daily caseload per technologist varies per shift. The position involves working 3x12 hour shifts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On-call rotation with staff is required. Clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs. Floating to sister facilities is required. Clienttion badge is mandatory and must be provided by the agency. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. The facility may call off one shift per two weeks. This is a teaching hospital with a total of 865 staffed beds. The hospital emphasizes interdisciplinary support and handles a variety of patient diagnoses. Daily caseload includes cardiac exams, routine studies, stroke patients, and interventional radiology procedures. Special procedures preferred include biopsies, drainages, and vascular studies. Technologists are required to have skills in various imaging techniques and patient care. Travelers should be aware that all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
