UPW/Waste Operations & Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Wastewater systems in a mission-critical semiconductor environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining process water treatment and waste systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous uptime to support facility operations. Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPW and Wastewater systems, including pumps, valves, tanks, filtration units, RO/DI systems, UV systems, and chemical dosing equipment, in accordance with client standards and procedures. Monitor system parameters and respond promptly to alarms, deviations, or abnormal operating conditions to ensure water quality and system stability. Conduct rounds, log readings, and verify operational data for both automated and manual systems. Perform system startups, shutdowns, and safe state verification as required. Support the calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control devices associated with UPW/Waste systems. Escalate vendor-required maintenance activities to client teams and coordinate site visits or repairs as necessary. Partner with engineers and operations staff to resolve technical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for maintenance activities, equipment logs, and performance data. Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with regulations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Skills Required: 1-5 years of hands-on experience in operations and maintenance of UPW, Wastewater, or industrial water treatment systems (semiconductor or mission-critical environment preferred). Strong understanding of process water treatment, waste treatment, and related support systems. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain pumps, valves, filters, sensors, and PLC-controlled systems. Knowledge of EHS standards, chemical handling, and lockout/tagout procedures. Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with engineers, vendors, and operations personnel. High attention to detail with strong documentation and monitoring habits. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while ensuring safety and quality. Education / Licenses / Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Associate's, Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field preferred, but not required.
