Job Summary

The Abatement Technician is responsible for performing asbestos abatement and industrial maintenance projects in full compliance with established health and safety standards. This role requires strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities Perform field work on asbestos abatement projects under direct or indirect supervision. Accurately complete all required project documentation, including timesheets, daily reports, driver's logs, and safety meeting forms. Follow project scope, schedules, and contract requirements while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Work safely at all times, adhering to company and client safety standards, site-specific safety plans, and applicable regulations. Operate in confined spaces or areas requiring squatting, crawling, or extended physical activity. Safely operate company vehicles and conduct required pre-use safety checks. Travel out of town for assignments lasting two weeks or more, as required. Perform duties in diverse and sometimes extreme environments, including exposure to heat, cold, hazardous chemicals, loud noise, dangerous equipment, heights, and extended work hours. Meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing, walking, crouching, use of hands, and lifting 50+ pounds. Maintain a clean-shaven face at all times to ensure proper respirator use and seal. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent skills in reading, writing, and reasoning) required. 2-3 years of experience on asbestos abatement projects; additional experience in emergency response, manual labor, general construction, or industrial cleaning preferred. Must hold a valid 32-hour Abatement Worker Certification. Valid driver's license required; TWIC card preferred. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER, Confined Space Entry, and Lead Awareness certifications preferred but not required. Must successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including background check, substance testing, employment verification, criminal history review, and MVR check, with ongoing compliance required throughout employment.
