Description Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations by utilizing standardized testing tools and observational methods. Create customized treatment plans that address both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Facilitate individualized speech therapy interventions that promote communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capacity. Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to foster synergetic care solutions. Empower patients and their families with knowledge that enhances progress outside of therapy sessions. Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless care journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and provider regulations. Keep abreast of advancements within the field through ongoing education and interactions with colleagues. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still pending ASHA certification. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire is mandatory. Skills
Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities across all age groups, with an in-depth understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
