As we expand our impact, we seek a skilled development professional to strengthen our fundraising capacity and sustainability.

Position Summary

Tangram is seeking an experienced Development & Fundraising Professional to work

with our Manager of Marketing and Business Development on strategic fundraising

initiatives during a one-year contract engagement (20-30 hours per week). The ideal

candidate will have proven experience in grant writing, donor cultivation, and high-level

development activities. This role is essential to advancing Tangram's mission by

securing philanthropic support from foundations, corporations, and individual donors.

Key Responsibilities

Research, identify, and qualify grant opportunities aligned with Tangram's mission. Write compelling proposals, applications, and reports for foundations, corporations, and government funders.

Cultivate and manage relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and community stakeholders.

Support donor communications, recognition activities, and stewardship events. Collaborate with leadership to design and implement fundraising strategies that diversify revenue.

Assist in building corporate sponsorships, annual giving campaigns, and major gifts initiatives.

Support board engagement in fundraising efforts. Track grant deadlines, submissions, and donor interactions. Ensure compliance with funder requirements and timely submission of reports. Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or grant writing.

Demonstrated success in securing significant grants and donations. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft compelling narratives. Knowledge of donor management systems (CRM) and fundraising best practices (Bloomerang is a plus).

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Commitment to Tangram's mission of supporting people with I/DD. Contract Details

Contract Length: 12 months (January-December 2026) Compensation: Competitive contract rate commensurate with experience. Potential: Eligible for consideration for full-time employment based on performance and organizational need.
