Position Summary:
The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing front desk duties during the night shift including audit functions and some cleaning functions but will also be the point of contact for all overnight situations that might arise.

Essential Job Functions Secure the hotel for the overnight period, act as the Point of Contact for all guest related inquiries. Conduct all front desk related night audit functions as mapped out in the check-list (credit checks, converting data movement from POS into PMS, etc.). Warmly, efficiently, and accurately answer inquiries from guests and patrons. Consistently resolve guest situations in an efficient manner while demonstrating a sense of urgency. Use suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenue. Assist the day shift by preparing arrivals, room assignments, and other duties as relegated by the Director of Rooms. Assign rooms to expected arrivals after checking the guest preferences and special requests. Produce the Daily Operations Report in advance of the day shift arriving. Cross check all billing instructions to ensure folios are closed out correctly, also identify any open tickets in the POS. Read and update the Front desk log (book or system) ensuring a smooth and consistent flow of information to the day team. Ensure safety by following guest check-in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to security, manager, or MOD, especially potential Human Trafficking situations. Verify that all end of day work has been performed. Ensure that M3 is balanced and any out of balance issues are reported to immediate supervisor before rolling the day. Release all access points in preparation for team member arrivals. Inform day shift leaders if an early morning team member has not arrived for their shift. Attends meetings as required
Experience and Education:
Experience in customer service, forward-facing, or other guest-related positions a plus.
Prior experience in the hospitality industry as a front desk agent or night auditor preferred, but we certainly can train.
Experience with a PMS is really helpful.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 or similar computer applications
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality or related major preferred, but not required.
