About the Role: Join Sturgeon Electric's dynamic team as a Senior Electrical Estimator in our Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division, where we excel in large-scale commercial projects. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, our division utilizes Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, pre-construction services, in-house prefabrication, and advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities. The Senior Estimator plays a crucial role in the electrical construction process, ensuring our projects are competitive, profitable, and aligned with our growth strategy. You will manage the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for commercial and industrial electrical projects, all while fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Additionally, you will mentor and guide Estimators and Estimator Trainees, helping to shape the future of our estimating team. Essential Functions: Prepare detailed labor and material cost estimates Draft comprehensive responses to RFPs and RFQs Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Estimating Create innovative strategies to secure project awards Enhance and maintain the estimating database Build and nurture relationships with clients Collaborate with team members to assist with estimates and bid packages Evaluate the performance of Estimating staff Serve as the primary point of contact for the Estimating team Coordinate with Project Management for seamless operations Maintain an accurate bid log and report to corporate Prepare material lists and relevant information for purchasing Conduct field walk-downs to determine constructability with stakeholders Ensure project documents are accurate and consistent Perform field take-offs and evaluations for cost estimation Engage in the internal and external estimation review process Support construction teams throughout project lifecycles Prepare and submit change orders as necessary Conduct post-project evaluations to ensure accurate cost tracking and invoicing Participate in other duties as assigned, while maintaining regular attendance Comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and ethical standards About You: Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction estimating. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Familiarity with local and national electrical codes (N.E.C.) Proficient in reading and interpreting civil, architectural, and mechanical plans Strong understanding of electrical materials and installation methods General knowledge of engineered material costs Skilled with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Accubid, and other estimating software Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills Team-oriented with a proactive, self-directed approach What We Offer: Competitive Salary:
