Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities HIRING RANGE: $127,098 - $165,228 POSITION PURPOSE: Oversee, manage, and maintain the district's computer, networked device, and telecommunications systems. This includes project planning, product evaluation, installation, training, troubleshooting, and development of internal applications and technical processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Computer Hardware and Network Infrastructure Plans short and long-term goals for the district regarding its technology needs and coordinates implementation of all technology-related platforms. Develops and initiates the implementation of technology-related standards and procedures for the district. Reviews software and hardware products for improvements to the current system, as well as research on district-wide upgrades such as state-of-the-art registration and accounting software and point-of-sale systems. Coordinates purchase of hardware, software, and other computer-related products. Install new software and hardware. Maintains an inventory of all hardware and software. Performs special automation projects as assigned. Provides training on software and hardware to management and supervisory staff. Implements, manages, and maintains all firewall/UTM appliance functionality. Provides user support to staff, including remote locations. Investigate data input, software, and hardware problems. Corrects or arranges for correction of the problem. Performs ongoing routine system maintenance, including system backups. Prepares, monitors, and analyzes the annual budget for the management information systems cost center. Administration, troubleshooting, and management of non-computer-related connected devices such as access control systems, security camera systems, and facility-wide and conference room audio systems. Provide technical expertise for environmental systems, advertisement displays, and TV infrastructure. Phone Related Hardware and Telecommunications Infrastructure

Plans short and long-term goals for the district about its telecommunication needs and coordinates its implementation. Investigate any phone problems. Corrects or arranges for correction of the problem. Coordinates the purchase of any telecommunication-related products. Maintains an inventory of all fiber connections, phone lines, and digital and analog telecommunications equipment. Coordinates scripts for the voice-mail system. Allocates and analyzes monthly telecommunications charges to determine the effective and efficient use of district resources. OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all functions in a customer service-focused manner as presented in the associate handbook; Works periodically on special projects as assigned outside the context of computer/phone systems, but for which the incumbent possesses the ability to perform adequately; Serves on committees and focus groups as set by the executive director; and performs all other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY DUTIES: The director of technology services supervises and manages two systems administrator positions and one technology coordinator and oversees and supervises work performed by various contractors and outside service providers as needed. Job Qualifications

Extensive knowledge and experience with Windows Server and client Operating Systems. Practical knowledge and experience with LAN/WAN planning, implementation, and troubleshooting. Extensive break/fix experience within a domain networked environment. Expert understanding of MFP fleet management and group policy deployment. Extensive troubleshooting skills for computer hardware and network infrastructure. Strong oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and accurate in work performed. Demonstrable public speaking and presentation skills. Strong analytical, prioritization, and delegation skills. Ability to organize and monitor multiple tasks or processes simultaneously. Ability to work under minimal supervision and assume responsibility for task initiative and completion. Establish and maintain positive and clearly defined relationships with outside contractors and vendors. Ability to oversee and manage task assignments for technology services staff members and other stakeholders in special team projects.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field (master's preferred). Minimum five years' experience leading an IT department, eight+ years in systems and/or network administration, and experience managing budgets on a three-year project cycle. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with VOIP or UCaaS telecommunications platforms required. Work Environment

This position requires occasional work in sometimes loud, high-traffic areas. Some locations where equipment is accessed can be dusty or dirty. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: This position occasionally requires manual labor such as hardware, cabling installation, and moving technology-related hardware between locations. The employee must lift and carry 50lbs., climb and balance on ladders and step stools, and stoop, kneel, and crawl beneath desk spaces. TRAVEL: This position is required to travel regularly between district facilities.
