Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE)
services. Training and mentoring are provided to assist in career development.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include Learn and develop an understanding of ASCE 38-02 standards and Quality Levels, including their applications (training provided). Receive hands-on training to assist with underground utility flagging ("designation") using ground-penetrating radar, electromagnetic equipment, and other geophysical tools. Provide underground utility flagging "designation", including water, sewer, gas, electric, fiber optic, PVC, and all other underground facilities that would affect an excavation of a site. Marking said utilities with flags and/or paint and produce a sketch of results for future use by the client. Learn to operate vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment or perform manual digging ("hand dig") under supervision to verify utility characteristics. Assisting with maintenance of vehicles/trucks, equipment, and work sites. Researching all utilities that may be on a site prior to entering a site. Exercising extreme caution near or around any utility facility and follow all applicable job site safety parameters. What you'll need
High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school Experience with electromagnetic and geophysical designating technologies is a plus Basic computer skills; Ability to learn and understand new software. Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required. Ability to travel Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project. DRMP Offers
