COMPTROLLER

Hybrid - Must live in DFW area

Office Location: Addison, Texas

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Comptroller with a strong background in the consumer goods industry to lead our accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and providing actionable insights to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in GAAP, financial systems, and leadership in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

~THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS. Lead internal and external audit processes and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Manage inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and product margin analysis specific to the consumer goods sector. Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets. Drive ERP system optimization and lead cross-functional financial systems projects. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency. Mentor and manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. ~THE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required; CMA a plus). 8-12 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles, including 5+ years in a leadership or controller/comptroller capacity. Proven experience in the consumer goods industry, especially in manufacturing, distribution, or retail/eCommerce. Deep understanding of inventory accounting, COGS, and product costing. Expertise in financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial operations and lead cross-functional initiatives. High attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to accuracy. Strategic thinker with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
