About the role

This role provides single-point accountability for all Maintenance, Reliability, and Facility activities, ensuring seamless oversight and coordination. It enables site operations to achieve best-in-class efficiency while maintaining full compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. By proactively managing maintenance and reliability processes, the position minimizes downtime and related costs, ultimately maximizing operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Ensure an environment that is safe by reinforcing a "safety first" culture. • Lead all site Maintenance, Facility and Reliability activities • Utilize all resources (personnel & financial) to ensure Plant operates at maximum equipment utilization and efficiency • Address all unplanned site downtime events to return site to "Safe, Reliable Operations" as soon as feasible. In addition, work actively to assess any failures, identify cause and deploy countermeasures to prevent recurrence. • Ensure equipment availability to meet defined production schedule. • Manage and be the "keeper" of the facility Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) o document all activities through this software; utilize tools to optimize effectiveness of department and interactions with internal customers (Production) and other functions (QA, etc.) • Site lead for utility system management - to include, but not limited to, Natural Gas/Cogen, Electrical, Water, Wastewater Systems, Cooling Systems, Ammonia Refrigeration, Industrial Gasses and Compressed Air. • Respond and address all required commercial utility equipment - Office/Admin HVAC, Restrooms/Plumbing, building Electrical, Lighting • Solid understanding of mechanical,electrical,automation troubleshooting. • Provide direct Supervision and develop all members of the Maintenance/Reliability function • Manage and coach the maintenance team for high performance and high engagement; motivate, inspire, and engage team members to excel and work towards continuous improvement and company goals. • Create and establish controls to manage via AAK USA KPI's for Maintenance and Facility activities to monitor and improve performance • Manage site spares, stores, & critical spare program. • Site knowledge leader on Equipment & Parts specification. Establish site criteria and/or Part/Equipment standards and manage site compliance to these standards. • Manage Maintenance/Facility budget for each given period - Manage Department budget within the established constraint. • Work with EHSS Site leader to create world class procedures around Construction Management and High Hazard Work Permitting - embed in site work, for all people working at the facility. • Schedule and Manage all pre-determined Plant shutdowns. Work directly with Supply Chain Lead and Production Manager • Coordinate directly with Site Operations Manager to schedule & execute Maintenance activities - be it planned or unplanned. • Participate as a key member on site HAACP team About you

Four-year Degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related is strongly preferred. Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with at least five years directly leading the maintenance function at the plant level. At least three years' experience directly managing a maintenance technician team Experience managing unionized employees is highly desirable
