office of Modjeski and Masters, Inc. is seeking experienced Civil/Structural Bridge Design Engineers What We're Looking For At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University Mid-Level (4-10 years related Bridge Design Experience) ideal candidate will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE license
Senior Level (10 + years related Bridge Design Experience)
ideal candidatewill have a valid Professional Engineering License (PE) in the state of Louisiana.
What You'll Do
Review and check standard structural design calculations. Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software. Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans. Provide information for design reports. Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence. Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans. Review and check drawings. Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation,etc. Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc. Will take on leadership roles, will assist Projects Managers in identifying issues and developing solutions. Senior Engineers will serve as technical leaders on complex projects. Senior Engineers will be responsible for the delivery of projects
