10+ years of experience in technical program or project management within data engineering or cloud platform environments.
Proven experience leading large-scale data platform migrations (Snowflake or Redshift BigQuery or other cloud DWH).
Strong understanding of data ecosystems pipelines, ETL/ELT, data modeling (dbt), and
BI/reporting platforms (Looker, Tableau, MicroStrategy).
Hands-on familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer) and modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, GitHub, Terraform).
Solid understanding of data governance, security, and cost optimization frameworks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Program Leadership
Lead the end-to-end delivery of Customers Snowflake BigQuery migration program, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality. Serve as the primary liaison between Customer's data engineering org, offshore teams, Google Cloud, and the implementation partner. Manage program governance steering committees, milestone tracking, risks, and decision logs.
Technical Coordination
Collaborate with data engineering, BI, and analytics teams to define and prioritize the migration roadmap (schemas, pipelines, dbt models, dashboards). Coordinate design reviews and migration readiness assessments with Google and partners. Track migration across ingestion, transformation, validation, and cutover phases. Ensure adherence to data governance and security standards.
Stakeholder Management
Act as single point of contact for all program communications executive updates, progress summaries, and escalations. Partner with customer and GCP leadership to align business goals and define success criteria. Translate technical progress into business impact narratives for leadership reporting.
Process & Delivery Excellence
Implement agile frameworks suited for hybrid global teams. Develop templates for sprint planning, dependency tracking, and validation. Drive post-migration reviews to ensure quality, accuracy, and performance benchmarks.
