Position Summary
To supervise chair side dental work and/or to supervise dental assistants with highly specialized surgical and operative dental procedures.
The employee will provide chair side assistance to dentists and dental students in a variety of specialties which include but not limited to: Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Endodontics, Pedodontics, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics. The employee will work under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Staff and Patient Services.

The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of dental assisting activities within the department, support faculty and residents in the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Ideal applicants should demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a commitment to excellence in dental education and patient service.
Core competencies include: Communicating effectively : The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect people and ideas. Focusing on Customers : The ability to serve the needs of those who support and/or rely on the services provided. Following Policies and Procedures : The ability to comply with policies and procedures of the organization as well as State Civil Service rules, and all applicable federal and state laws.
