Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

Under the guidance of the Regional VP of Construction or President, the Project Manager is responsible for efficiently managing the manpower, materials, and finances of electrical or technology construction projects. The role demands strong oversight to ensure projects are completed profitably.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and quality control of projects

Direct team efforts to establish budgets or cost estimates for projects

Delegate tasks to the Project Coordinator

Manage labor volume for field resources and determine necessary resources

Establish and format project documentation for clear and timely communication to team members and stakeholders

Draft and submit contract change proposals and manage contract and sub-contract changes as necessary

Collaborate with field workers, owners, general contractors, or design professionals to resolve work procedures, complaints, or construction issues

Submit product, material, and service data for customer review and approval, coordinating approved elements for project site installation

Define and schedule project timelines and milestones, tracking progress with appropriate tools

Coordinate material delivery to the construction site

Manage project financials, including partial and final billing with the Accounting department

Conduct project closeouts and follow up to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements, recommending best practices and tools for future project execution

Build, develop, and grow business relationships critical to company success

Identify, evaluate, and develop leads into project opportunities, securing and managing customer accounts

Acquire resources and coordinate efforts of team members, third-party vendors, and subcontractors to deliver projects according to plans and specifications

Essential Skills

Strong project management skills, especially in managing manpower, materials, and financials of a data center project

Experience with project planning and tracking software, including the ability to manipulate and extract data

Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) activities, Job Productivity Assurance and Control (JPAC), and Short Interval Scheduling (SIS)

Understanding or willingness to learn Agile Construction principles and commercial construction estimation

Project experience in the mechanical or electrical construction market

Strength in people management

Understanding of accounting and money management

Knowledge of electrical materials and their purchase cost

Experience with low voltage systems and technology

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Excellent communication skills and positive interactions

Systemic organizational skills

Proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Office and Excel

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
