Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor with a minimum of 5 years of mortgage industry experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the loan process from application through closing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of mortgage products and processing procedures.

Key Responsibilities: Loan File Management: Review and verify loan applications for completeness and accuracy. Collect and analyze borrower documentation including income, assets, credit reports, and property information. Ensure all required disclosures are sent within regulatory timeframes. Communication & Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and closing agents. Provide timely updates to all parties regarding loan status and outstanding conditions. Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and other third-party vendors. Compliance & Quality Control: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines (e.g., TRID, RESPA, HMDA). Ensure loan files meet underwriting and investor requirements. Identify and resolve issues that may delay loan processing or closing. Documentation & System Management: Accurately input and update loan data in the loan origination system (LOS). Prepare and submit complete loan packages for underwriting review. Track and follow up on outstanding conditions and documentation. Closing Preparation: Work closely with closing department to ensure timely and accurate loan closings. Review final closing documents for accuracy and completeness. Confirm funding and disbursement details. Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of mortgage loan processing experience in a high-volume environment. Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA loan programs. Proficiency in loan origination systems (LOS) such as Encompass, BYTE Calyx Point, or similar. (Company uses BYTE) Familiarity with DU/LP automated underwriting systems. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with secondary market guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac). Knowledge of state-specific mortgage regulations. Bilingual abilities (a plus depending on market). Experience with eClosing platforms and digital mortgage tools.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
