As a Construction Project Leader, you'll focus on safety, quality, client satisfaction, and contributing to both your own and your team's professional development. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the project schedule, budget, and quality, while also nurturing essential relationships. Your responsibilities will include: Ensuring construction work is conducted safely, in line with project plans, specifications, and complies with local building codes and Cal-OSHA regulations. Managing overall project scheduling, budgeting, change orders, and tracking remaining project hours. Conducting thorough risk assessments and maintaining meticulous documentation management. Upholding the highest quality standards for all projects. Modifying project schedules as necessary to reflect changes in scope or timeline. Providing timely updates to all stakeholders involved in the projects. Collaborating closely with the Owner, Architect, Superintendent, Assistant Project Managers, and Office teams. Maintaining strong relationships with clients and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly. Overseeing the acquisition of necessary permits and approvals, as well as scheduling and completing inspections. Co-managing the project schedule with the Superintendent. Identifying, qualifying, and managing subcontractors from the RFP process through to project completion. Negotiating subcontractor and vendor pricing as needed. Reviewing vendor and subcontractor invoices. Interpreting legal contract language, building codes, and technical construction terminology. Overseeing complete project documentation and the project closeout process. Providing constructive feedback to team members for future project improvement. Creating an enthusiastic, creative, and positive work atmosphere. Engaging actively in company culture and growth initiatives. To excel in this role, you will need: A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management for high-end custom homes. Strong skills in budget analysis and financial tracking. Proficiency in technology tools, including Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Spectrum, Smartsheet, and Procore. In-depth knowledge of current practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools used in both residential and commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications effectively. Strong communication, active listening, team building, and mentoring abilities. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. The capability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. An architectural and/or engineering degree is a plus. Experience managing high-end residential projects ranging from $3M to $40M independently. What We Offer: Competitive compensation relative to your experience and skills. Performance-based bonuses.
