Director of Inventory and Material Management

and collaborate closely with teams across

Manufacturing, Procurement, and Finance . This position supports a key production facility and is integral to planning and purchasing essential raw materials like fiber, felt, and glass. The planner will be instrumental in supplier coordination, inventory optimization, and production support, contributing significantly to the company's success. This is a

with approximately

20% travel

required and regular engagement at the manufacturing site. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage purchase orders, maintain optimal inventory levels (PFEP), and create stocking strategies that effectively mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring financial efficiency. Take part in daily production meetings (S&OP), providing updates on inventory status, open orders, and materials in transit. Reallocate resources as necessary to uphold production schedules. Evaluate supplier performance and collaborate with Procurement to enhance delivery timelines and improve contractual KPIs. Monitor and update pricing on purchase orders to maintain consistency with contracts. Identify process improvement opportunities and drive digital transformation initiatives (e.g., Power BI dashboards). Assist with quarterly physical inventory counts. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or Supply Chain. A minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement, planning, or inventory management. Solid understanding of supply chain principles, including demand planning, buying, and S&OP processes. Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, Oracle). Exceptional communication abilities. Openness to domestic travel (~20%). Preferred Skills Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or CPSM. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Proficient in Power BI and KPI digitization. Financial insights and the ability to relate operational metrics to financial outcomes. Experience in infrastructure, manufacturing, or subcontracting sectors. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
