The primary function/purpose of this job.
The Director of Digital Marketing is a strategic, results driven leader responsible for guiding and optimizing the digital customer journey across owned and e-commerce dealer channels in North America. This role develops and executes a comprehensive digital strategy that improves the consumer experience across websites, email, online dealer marketplaces, social media, consumer account platforms, and marketing automation.
The Director owns the local North American digital strategy to drive measurable growth in engagement, conversion and loyalty. This role works closely with local cross-functional leaders, the global digital marketing team, and external partners to ensure digital priorities support overall business goals and deliver a seamless, consumer-centric digital presence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions Lead the Digital Consumer Journey Oversee the full digital experience across owned and dealer channels-from awareness to loyalty. Partner with the VP of Marketing, digital agencies, and cross-functional teams to shape content and campaign strategies that support business and brand goals. Define and execute a long-term vision for how digital experiences strengthen Festool's brand and customer relationships in North America. Own Core Digital Channels Lead strategy and manage execution across North American digital channels including social media, email marketing, website UX/content, CRM and online communities. Ensure consistency, alignment, and performance across all digital touchpoints. Dealer Digital Channels Ensure online dealer marketplaces are aligned to owned digital consumer journey strategy inclusive of content, experience and alignment to brand guidelines. Build and manage strategic partnerships with key dealers and e-commerce partners to drive activation and improve conversion.
Drive Innovation Champion digital transformation by exploring new technologies, data platforms, and strategic partnerships that enhance the customer experience and deliver measurable results. Team Leadership Provide clear direction, coaching, and development for the digital marketing team. Build a high-performing, consumer-focused team to drive business results.
Global Collaboration Partner with the global digital marketing team to influence enterprise-wide initiatives, represent local needs and share best practices. The global digital marketing team manages the enterprise platforms; this role will lead the North American extensions - website, CRM, email, social. Performance & Insights Oversee performance measurement across all owned digital channels. Set KPIs, monitor progress, and find opportunities for continuous improvement. Monitor digital channel metrics, analyze KPIs, and identify optimization opportunities across owned channels. Present insights and recommendations to the VP of Marketing and senior leadership. Market Intelligence Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and deliver best-in-class digital experiences. Additional Duties Perform other tasks as assigned to support digital marketing goals.

Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Basic Requirements Bachelor's Degree with relevant focus (Marketing, Business, etc.) 7+ years' experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or related field Proven experience guiding consumers through the full digital journey, with deep understanding of each stage and how to drive engagement end-to-end. Experience with marketing technology platforms and comfortable navigating technical details Strong communicator with proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams as well as influence senior leadership Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously Demonstrated success driving measurable business outcomes through integrated digital marketing initiatives Ability to translate analytics and consumer insights into strategic decisions. Travel as needed Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree Previous experience working in Sitecore, Emarsys & Salesforce Previous experience in a customer data and analytics-heavy environment Previous experience working with the tool industry and/or trades
