Race Communications Inc, Merced, California, United States, 95343
Who We Are:
We're more than a fiber internet provider, we're your neighbors, committed to connecting California communities since 1994. At Race, relationships matter as much as speed. We combine cutting-edge technology with a genuine, people-first approach that makes every interaction feel personal. Our team operates like family: collaborative, supportive, and dedicated to making a real difference. When you join Race, you're not just accepting a job, you're becoming part of a team that values integrity, celebrates wins together and believes that meaningful work happens when great people connect with great purpose.
Position Impact:
As an OSP Project Supervisor, you'll lead the charge on large-scale fiber construction and deployment programs that connect communities and power the digital infrastructure of tomorrow. This is a high-impact leadership role where your decisions directly influence project outcomes, team performance, and the expansion of critical telecommunications networks.
You'll oversee multiple OSP project managers and cross-functional teams, driving execution from planning through completion while maintaining strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Your leadership ensures that complex, multi-site fiber projects run like clockwork—coordinating construction crews, engineering teams, permitting specialists, procurement partners, and vendors into a unified force.
This position demands strategic thinking and tactical execution. You'll manage program-level planning, prioritize competing demands, allocate resources where they're needed most, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks. Every decision you make cascades across projects worth millions of dollars and impacts thousands of end users.
Beyond operational oversight, you'll maintain comprehensive program visibility through progress reporting, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder communication—ensuring that leadership, clients, and partners always know where projects stand and what's coming next.
The scope is substantial. The responsibility is command-level. The results define infrastructure expansion.
