Accounting Associate
A leading asset management and hedge fund firm in Boston is seeking an Accounting Associate to support corporate accounting, financial reporting, and analysis functions. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong accounting background-particularly those from public accounting or large firms-who are pursuing or have earned their CPA designation.
Compensation: Base Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 (flexible for the right candidate) Annual Bonus Target: 10-15% Retirement: 12% company-funded profit sharing Key Responsibilities: Prepare and record journal entries for domestic and international corporate entities Complete month-end account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts Perform intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation adjustments Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements and audit documentation Support monthly FP&A analysis for selected line items Reconcile investment holding statements for corporate entities Requirements: 2+ years of accounting experience (general ledger, month-end/year-end close, or public accounting) Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA license (or active pursuit of CPA) Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial analysis tools Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles Nice-to-Have Experience: Familiarity with QuickBooks or Workday Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
