Position Details:
$29.87 to $31.91 per hour
(DOE) + safety bonus Local routes with a 5-day work week, including Saturdays Hiring Bonus: $2,500.

Position Purpose: As a vital part of the food supply chain, our Delivery Professionals ensure timely delivery of products, maintaining great customer relationships along the way. You will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck for local and over-the-road deliveries, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Additionally, you will engage with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner. Key Responsibilities Include: Conduct safety checks (pre/post trip) on vehicles as per DOT regulations, ensuring the tractor/truck and trailer meet safety standards. Report any safety issues promptly.
Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards immediately.
Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; perform count checks and verify customer invoices.
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly.
Drive according to the designated delivery route schedule and unload products at customer locations.
Ensure proper documentation of deliveries and secure signatures from customers.
Handle returns and secure trailer doors upon unloading.
Maintain clean and orderly workspaces, including the tractor and loading dock area.
Complete required documentation at the end of the shift and secure all equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months of commercial driving experience High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent Valid CDL B license Meet state licensing and certification requirements (when applicable) Must be at least 21 years old Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years Pass post-offer drug test and background check Pass road test Have a valid DOT Health Card or the ability to secure one Ability to lift and move products weighing between 10 and 90 pounds using appropriate equipment About Us: Performance Foodservice operates as a leading broadline distributor, ensuring our local customers—including independents in the restaurant sector, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries—receive top-notch products and service.
