Location: Morgantown, WV Shifts Available: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) | 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) Status: Full-Time

Are you passionate about helping others find their path to long-term recovery? Wise Path Recovery Centers is seeking dedicated and compassionate Recovery Support Specialists II to join our team in Morgantown, WV.
As a Recovery Support Specialist, you'll be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team-providing direct care, encouragement, and structure for individuals recovering from substance use disorders. You'll guide residents through daily routines, teach coping skills, model healthy behaviors, and ensure a safe, supportive environment that promotes healing and growth.

Wise Path Recovery Centers, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, is dedicated to assisting individuals on their path to recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. Our programs combine evidence-based treatment, trauma-informed care, and compassionate support to help individuals rebuild their lives and reintegrate successfully into their communities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide comprehensive orientation for new clients, reviewing program rules, expectations, and treatment goals within the first 48 hours of admission. Lead and facilitate educational and psychoeducational groups to promote skill-building and personal growth. Complete intake and admission procedures, ensuring all forms and system documentation are accurate. Administer and document Urine Analysis (UA) testing, ensuring proper chain of custody and confidentiality. Maintain detailed progress notes and shift reports on client activities and behavioral observations. Support clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), recreation, and community engagement. Transport clients safely to medical appointments, recovery meetings, and other approved activities. Facilitate structured recreational and wellness activities as part of the recovery process. Identify and de-escalate potential behavioral incidents using trauma-informed communication. Conduct basic medical tasks such as documenting vital signs and weights. Collaborate with the treatment team to share updates, observations, and recommendations. Link clients to aftercare and community support resources to promote sustained recovery. Respond to client crises and provide supportive interventions under supervision. Perform receptionist or facility support duties as needed to maintain a safe, organized environment. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral health, recovery, or healthcare settings. Valid driver's license; must be able to obtain a Class D License within 30 days of hire. Must have or obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Preferred:
Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC) or Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (CPRSS) credential. Experience working in 12-Step recovery or dual-diagnosis treatment environments.
