This is a school term, full time position beginning as soon as possible. This position provides social work services to students in grades PreK-5 in the elementary setting by connecting school, home, and community resources. Address social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs to support students' academic success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and small-group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges Conduct assessments, crisis intervention, and develop intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and external community agencies Attend and contribute to Student Support Team (SST), IEP, and 504 meetings Maintain confidentiality, documentation, and compliance with district and state policies Provide trainings or resources on mental health, trauma, social skills, etc. Respond to crisis situations (e.g. grief, abuse, threats) Oversee caseloads, referrals, and resource mapping Connect with community Mental Health and Child Protection teams to help assure students are offered the resources and help available Qualifications / Requirements:
School Social Worker certification / Tier 3 or Tier 4 licensure (Minnesota PELSB) Experience working with children and families, preferably in school or community settings Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed practice, behavioral interventions Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team Must pass background check Compensation & Benefits:
