We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven
Quality Engineer
to join a team in Omaha, Nebraska.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and maintain quality systems to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements. Participate in product design reviews and provide input on quality and process improvements. Lead and organize quality training programs across departments. Investigate and resolve customer complaints, corrective actions, and nonconformances. Develop and implement new quality standards and control plans to maintain consistent performance. Apply LEAN principles to eliminate waste and improve efficiency across teams. Collaborate with engineering, production, sales, and operations teams to improve quality performance. Conduct audits of suppliers and internal processes to ensure quality standards are met. Support continuous improvement through data analysis and root cause investigations. Supervise Quality Coordinators and work with operations management to set and achieve quality priorities. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in metal fabrication. Strong understanding of LEAN manufacturing and quality tools such as APQP. Proven ability to lead teams and train staff on quality processes. Experience with welding, inspection, and root cause analysis. ASQ certification preferred but not required.
