Job Summary:
As a Senior Durability CAE Engineer, you will lead the durability assessments across various vehicle subsystems, bridging design changes with rigorous CAE analyses and hands-on testing and validation activities. Your role involves comprehensive strength, stiffness, and fatigue analysis, ensuring design adheres to durability requirements, and driving innovation through collaboration with design teams and utilization of advanced CAE tools. This position offers a pivotal role in enhancing vehicle d urability through expert analysis, strategic testing, and direct design team engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced CAE analyses for strength, stiffness, and fatigue across multiple vehicle subsystems. Correlate test results with CAE models, optimizing designs for durability. Develop detailed test plans, participating in regulatory and compliance testing processes. Support FEM mesh creation from CAD designs, facilitating accurate simulations. Guide and support design engineers to meet all durability criteria through constructive feedback and insights.
Must-Have Skills:
Proficient with industry-standard CAE software (e.g., ANSA, HyperMesh, nCode, OptiStruct). In-depth experience with vehicle-level CAE analysis, including linear, non-linear, and fatigue analysis. Strong foundation in mechanics of materials and structural dynamics.
Industry Experience Required: Candidate must possess experience in vehicle engineering, specifically within a product development or R&D setting, focusing on durability and structural analysis.
